Peer mentoring
Peer mentoring is a social support network for medical students to help you settle in to studying at Manchester.
In your Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) year, you will be supported by Peer Mentors from Year 2 who will support you during your first year on the programme.
Meeting your peer mentors
We understand that starting university can bring questions, so we’ve arranged for you to meet your peer mentors during your University Induction and Welcome week.
You will meet your mentors during Welcome Week and have a chance to get to know them better at our Peer Mentor welcome event on Monday 16 September. To attend, please complete the form below so we can accommodate all dietary requirements. Please complete the form by Monday 2 September.
International mentors

We will hold an event at the University on Friday 20 September to give you the chance to meet other international students in Welcome Week. If you would like to attend, please use the form below to sign up by Friday 6 September.
Mature mentors
As a Graduate Entry Student you may find it useful to meet our Mature Mentors and see how they can help and advise you during your first year studying medicine:

Commuter students
We also have support available for students who don't live in halls of residence, and instead commute from a family home or another residence.
We will hold an event at the University on Friday 13 September to give you the chance to meet other commuter students ahead of starting your studies. If you would like to attend, please use the form below to sign up by Friday 6 September.

Please note that peer mentoring continues into your clinical education years. Further information will be made available to you towards the end of your first year.
